A sculpture to hang on the wall, and
especially in this style, is unusual and original to say the least! Of
an extreme simplicity, of an absolute refinement, this work of small
format evokes a female silhouette, which it is difficult not to see in
Gradually, the mind begins to read behind this obvious
simplicity. Although the genius of the design of this wall sculpture
dates back to the artist's early days, it was not realized in relief
until much later.
This quality resin sculpture has been
extensively hand worked in lacquer, pigments and patinas to give it an
almost mineral look, both raw and sophisticated, in a range of
terracotta orange colors.
The work is superbly enhanced by the
"American crate" type frame, made of dark brown ash wood with black
veins, also created by Gaël Rouxeville!
